HySpex VNIR Close-up Lenses

For most applications, the HySpex cameras without close-up lenses yield acceptable image sharpness at object distances above approximately 25 meters.

The VNIR close-up lenses are manufactured for the following object distances: 0.3 m, 1.0 m and 3.0 m. The specifications are given in the table below.

Custom made close-up lenses for object distances other than shown above are available on request.

Close-Up Lenses

The HySpex cameras were designed for airborne applications, i.e. several hundred meter object distance.

It is, however, easy for the user to adapt the cameras for shorter object distances by employing close-up lenses. These are inserted in the entrance aperture with no loss of optical performance.

By the use of close-up lenses, the same HySpex camera can be employed in airborne/outdoor scanning, industrial applications as well as short range lab measurements.
